Martinez, Ga. Kaylene Thomas (Ervin), 69, passed peacefully in her sleep at her home in Augusta, GA after an eighteen-month battle with head and neck cancer. Born in Elizabethton, TN to Edith P. Thomas of Hampton, TN and the late Fred Thomas, she graduated in 1961 from Newport High School in Newport, KY.
